Pakistani cricketers have seen a notable dip in the latest ICC T20I rankings, mainly due to their underwhelming performances in the ongoing three-match series against Bangladesh in Mirpur, where Pakistan has already lost the first two matches.

Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris suffered the biggest fall, dropping 20 places to 50th position with 514 rating points. Young opener Saim Ayub slipped three spots to 64th, while Hassan Nawaz, who struggled to make an impact, dropped 22 positions and now sits at 68th.

Even experienced players not currently part of the squad faced ranking setbacks. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan both moved down one place, landing at 13th and 14th respectively.

Fakhar Zaman was one of the few positives for Pakistan. His steady performances with the bat helped him climb eight places to 79th, with a total of 426 rating points.

However, T20I captain Salman Ali Agha, who managed only 9 runs off 23 balls in the second T20I, dropped 18 spots and now ranks 93rd with 396 points.

Australia’s Travis Head remains at the top of the T20I batting rankings, followed by India’s Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma in second and third place.

In the bowling department, Pakistan also faced setbacks. Abbas Afridi slipped two spots to 22nd with 608 rating points, while Haris Rauf fell four places to 24th with 593 points. Shaheen Afridi, who is not part of the current squad, also dropped two positions to 36th with 541 points.

On the other hand, leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed showed improvement, rising 12 spots to 49th with 499 points — a rare gain for Pakistan in this update. Vice-captain Shadab Khan dropped four places and is now ranked 65th.

New Zealand pacer Jacob Duffy continues to hold the top spot in the T20I bowling rankings, followed by England’s Adil Rashid and India’s Varun Chakaravarthy.
