Rishabh Pant scored twin centuries – 134 and 118 – in the first Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at Headingley, Leeds, becoming only the second ever wicket-keeper to achieve the feat. Catch all the batting records broken by Rishabh Pant and India in the second innings of the Test match.

2- Rishabh Pant became only the second designated wicketkeeper to score hundreds in each innings of a Test after Andy Flower, who achieved the feat against South Africa in Harare in 2001 when he hit 142 and 199*.

7- Pant became the seventh Indian batter to score hundreds in each innings of a Test. He is also now the first and only Asian to do so in England.

252 runs – The aggregate by Pant in this Test – 134 & 118 – is the fourth most by a designated wicketkeeper in a Test. All the three higher tallies belong to Andy Flower while the previous fourth-highest tally by a designated wicketkeeper in Tests played in England was Alec Stewart’s 204 (40 & 164) against South Africa at Old Trafford in 1998. The previous highest by an Indian wicketkeeper batter was Buddi Kunderan’s 230 (192 & 38) against England in Chennai in 1964.

4 – centuries by Pant in England is the most by a designated wicketkeeper in Tests in an away country surpassing three each by Les Ames for England in West Indies and Andy Flower in India. Pant now has the joint-most hundreds by a designated wicketkeeper in England equaling Alec Stewart and Matt Prior.

9 – sixes by Pant in this Test – six in the first and three in second innings – is the joint most by a batter in a Test in England equaling the efforts of Andrew Flintoff (vs Aus, Edgbaston, 2005) and Ben Stokes (vs Aus, Lord’s, 2023). Seven maximums by Pant off Shoaib Bashir is the third most joint by a batter against a bowler in a Test (where ball by ball details available). Wasim Akram hit nine off Paul Strang (Sheikhupura, 1996), Rohit Sharma hit eight off Dane Piedt (Vizag, 2019) while Harry Brook’s seven off Zahid Mehmood (Rawalpindi, 2022) top the list.

5 – Fifty-plus scores for Pant in his last five Test innings in England – 50, 146, 57, 134, and 118. He became the seventh visiting batter to achieve the feat in England, headed by Steven Smith’s sequence of seven.

5 – Individual centuries for India in this Test – the most for them in a Test. It was the sixth time overall by any side and India became the second side to do it in an away Test after Australia against West Indies in Kingston in 1955.

3 – centuries by KL Rahul is the most by an Asian opening batter in Tests in England. Rahul went past the previous most of two hundreds each by Vijay Merchant, Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Rahul Dravid, and Tamim Iqbal. Of Rahul’s nine Test centuries, eight have come away from home.

656 – The difference between India’s top five and their bottom six batters this Test. It is the highest such difference for India in a Test where they were bowled out twice. The top five batters scored 721 runs between them while the bottom six could only muster 65.

9 runs – The aggregate of nine runs by India’s No.8 to No.11 across the two innings combined is the second lowest for India in a Test after five runs against Australia at the MCG in 2003 (where they were bowled out twice).

210 catches by Joe Root sees him equal Rahul Dravid for the most catches by an outfielder in Test cricket.
