Mahesh Pithaya’s 6-fer bundled out Odisha for 174 in the second innings, leaving Baroda with only 36 to chase down. Even as they lost three wickets within the first three overs of the chase, Shivalik Sharma smashed six boundaries and wrapped up the formalities quickly to help Baroda to a seven-wicket win.
Abhimanyu Easwaran stroked an unbeaten 71 as Bengal chased down 156 to secure an 8-wicket win over Uttarakhand, who were bundled out for 265 earlier in the day, with Mohammed Shami yet again running through the tail and bagging a 4-fer in the second innings. Shami’s match haul of seven wickets earned him the player of the match award.
Auqib Nabi Dar’s late fight went in vain as Shams Mulani bagged seven wickets to help Mumbai clinch a 35-run win over Jammu & Kashmir. The hosts were bowled out for 207 in the run chase.
Manav Suthar returned 8 for 42 in the second innings to lay the platform for Rajasthan’s 9-wicket win over Chhattisgarh, who were bowled out for 109 in the second innings. Chasing 58 for victory, Rajasthan only lost the wicket of Abhijeet Tomar in the process.
Arjun Sharma bagged five wickets as Tripura were bowled out for 103 in the second innings as Services clinched a massive innings and 20-run victory.
Andre Siddarth C’s 80 went in vain as Jharkhand delivered a massive victory by an innings and 114 runs. Rishav Raj led the way with four wickets as Tamil Nadu were bundled out for 212 in the second innings. He was well supported by Anukul Roy’s triple strike.
Darshan Misal bagged five wickets as Goa beat Chandigarh by an innings and 75 runs. Despite Arjun Azad’s 141, Chandigarh were bowled out for 354 in the second innings.
Best batting performances
Rinku Singh stroked an unbeaten 165 to help Uttar Pradesh clinch the first-innings lead in the high-scoring draw against Andhra. He added century stands with Vipraj Nigam and Shivam Sharma before taking Uttar Pradesh past Andhra’s first innings score in the company of No 10 batter Shivam Mavi.
Prithvi Shaw, Siddhesh Veer and Ruturaj Gaikwad stroked half-centuries as Maharashtra’s contest against Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram ended in a draw with the former clinching the first innings lead.
Best bowling performances
Ayush Badoni bagged six wickets as Hyderabad’s fightback was nipped in the bud and they were bowled out for 411 in the first innings. With a draw being inevitable, Sanat Sangwan and Yash Dhull stroked fifties in the second innings.
Shubham Sharma chipped in with three wickets as the contest between Madhya Pradesh and Punjab predictably ended in a draw, with the latter scoring 143 for 5 in the second innings before both the teams decided to shake hands.
Shreyas Gopal picked three wickets but the contest between Karnataka and Saurashtra ended in a draw. Chasing 229 for victory, Saurashtra could only manage 128 for 5 in more than a session and a half, and settled for a draw.
