The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the warm-up schedule for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, which is set to begin on September 30 and run until November 2.
A total of nine warm-up matches will be played from September 25 to 28 across four venues in India and Sri Lanka. All eight qualified teams will take part in these matches, with each side playing two games, except for Australia, who are scheduled to play just one.
The matches will be held at the BCCI Centre of Excellence and M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, India, and the R. Premadasa Stadium and Colombo Cricket Club Ground in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Pakistan will play two warm-up games—against Sri Lanka on September 25 and against Sri Lanka ‘A’ on September 28.
India ‘A’ and Sri Lanka ‘A’ will also feature in the warm-up phase. India ‘A’ will play one match, while Sri Lanka ‘A’ are set to appear in two.
The warm-up stage kicks off on September 25 with a high-profile clash between 2017 finalists India and England at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. On the same day, South Africa will face New Zealand at M. Chinnaswamy, while Pakistan take on Sri Lanka and Bangladesh face Sri Lanka ‘A’ in Colombo.
On September 27, Australia will play their only warm-up match against England. Other fixtures on the day include India vs New Zealand and Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh.
The final day of warm-ups, September 28, will see South Africa take on India ‘A’ in Bengaluru, while Pakistan face Sri Lanka ‘A’ in Colombo.
