Pakistan’s presence in the latest ICC Test rankings witnessed mixed results as middle-order batter Saud Shakeel slipped two spots to 10th in the batting chart, while spinner Nauman Ali retained his impressive fourth-place ranking among bowlers.

Shakeel, who had been the only Pakistani batter in the top 10, now finds himself on the edge of falling out of the elite group. Despite the drop, he continues to be Pakistan’s highest-ranked Test batter. Mohammad Rizwan, meanwhile, remained steady at 16th.

In the bowling rankings, Noman Ali once again stood tall as Pakistan’s top representative. The left-arm spinner kept his fourth-place position intact, staying among the world’s best Test bowlers. He remains the only Pakistani bowler in the top 10.

In the all-rounders’ category, Noman remained 19th, while India’s Ravindra Jadeja continued to lead the chart. England’s Ben Stokes climbed three spots to fifth, reflecting his growing influence with both bat and ball.

Meanwhile, England’s Joe Root continued to dominate the batting rankings, staying firm at number one thanks to his consistent performances. His teammate Harry Brook remained in second place, showing great form in recent matches.

India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal remained at fourth after his impressive ton in the ongoing series, while Rishabh Pant, who scored a brilliant double-century in the Headingley Test against England, climbed to seventh. England opener Ben Duckett also saw a major rise, jumping five spots to eighth following his match-winning 149 in the same Test.

On the bowling front, India’s Jasprit Bumrah maintained the top spot, followed by South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and Australia’s Pat Cummins in second and third respectively. However, Jadeja’s poor outing in Headingley cost him three spots in the bowling rankings, dropping him to 13th.
