The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday unveiled a 15-member squad for the Pakistan Shaheens, who will take part in the upcoming Top End T20 Series in Darwin, Australia. The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 14 to 24.

Middle-order batter Muhammad Irfan Khan has been named captain of the side. Irfan has previously represented Pakistan in nine One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 14 T20 Internationals (T20Is).

The Shaheens will open their campaign against Bangladesh ‘A’ on August 14 at the TIO Stadium in Darwin. The squad includes several players with international experience, adding strength and balance to the lineup.

Notable names include Abdul Samad, who has played five T20Is, Faisal Akram with three ODI appearances, Haider Ali, who has featured in two ODIs and 35 T20Is, and Mubasir Khan, who has played one T20I.

Fast bowlers Ahmed Daniyal and Mohammad Salman Mirza, both selected for Pakistan’s upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh, are also included in the squad.

The team will face Scorchers on August 16 and Renegades on August 18 — both matches will be held at TIO Stadium. They will then play Kingsmen at DXC Arena on August 19, Strikers on August 20, and Nepal on August 22, also at DXC Arena.
