Northamptonshire have secured the signing of Nottinghamshire all-rounder Calvin Harrison on a two-year deal.
The leg spinner spent the majority of the 2025 season on loan at Wantage Road and finished as Northants’ leading wicket taker in the County Championship, claiming 36 wickets in 10 matches.
He also contributed 456 runs at an average of 32.57, highlighted by a score of 122 against Kent in July.
“After being on loan with Northamptonshire this summer, I’m looking forward to joining on a full-time basis,” Harrison said.
“I enjoyed working with Boof and the whole coaching team, and I’m hoping to help contribute to us going on and winning trophies,” he added.
During his 10 games with Northamptonshire this year, Harrison took 36 scalps and finished with the most County Championship wickets in the Northamptonshire squad.
The tall spinner caught the eye of Northamptonshire fans immediately, taking career-best figures of 7/119 from 57 overs on debut against Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford.

Head Coach Darren Lehmann was thrilled to be able to welcome Harrison on a permanent basis.
“We’re very pleased that Calvin is joining us after a successful period for us as a loan player.
“We see him as a leader within our group moving forward, and he provides a lot of options for us with bat, ball and in the field, so we’re over the moon that he’s continuing his development with us.
“He’s putting trust in what we are doing and building, and that’s very pleasing from the Club’s point of view.”
Harrison established himself as a genuine all-rounder over the course of last season after being given the opportunity to bat at number three.
The 27-year-old took that opportunity and displayed his ability with the bat, hitting a maiden first-class century against Kent.
Also an ever-present in the Notts Outlaws side in the 2025 Vitality Blast, Harrison will bring quality and experience in the shorter formats at Wantage Road next year.
