New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has unveiled its home international schedule for the 2025–26 season, featuring 46 days of competitive cricket across nine venues. The season will see visits from some of the world’s top cricketing nations, including Australia, England, South Africa, and the West Indies.
The men’s team, the Black Caps, will begin their home campaign in October with a three-match T20I series against Australia, all set to be played in Mount Maunganui.
Later that month, England will arrive in New Zealand for a white-ball series, which includes three T20Is and three ODIs spread across Christchurch, Auckland, Mount Maunganui, Hamilton, and Wellington.
The West Indies will follow with an extended tour that begins in early November and stretches into late December. The tour includes five T20Is, three ODIs, and a three-match Test series, providing a complete format challenge for the Black Caps.
In March 2026, South Africa will tour New Zealand, where both the men’s and women’s teams will play five T20Is each. The shared schedule aims to boost visibility and support for women’s cricket in the country.
In a historic first, the New Zealand women’s team, the White Ferns, will host Zimbabwe in a bilateral series comprising three T20Is and three ODIs, all scheduled between February and March 2026. This series will be followed by a more intense contest against South Africa.
According to NZC, the schedule is designed not only to engage fans across multiple regions but also to provide vital preparation ahead of major international events. The White Ferns will participate in the Women’s ODI World Cup in India and Sri Lanka in late 2026, while the Black Caps gear up for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in early 2026, also in the subcontinent.
