Pakistan Champions have added former all-rounder Imad Wasim to their squad for the second edition of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025, which will take place in United Kingdom later this month.

The franchise confirmed the 36-year-old’s inclusion on Saturday through a post on their official social media accounts, calling him a “power-packed addition” to the team.

Imad brings a wealth of T20 experience with him. Over his career, he has played 395 T20 matches and represented Pakistan in 75 T20 Internationals. He has scored 4,148 runs with 12 half-centuries and taken 366 wickets at an impressive average of 24.32.

The all-rounder is currently playing for Somerset in England’s T20 Blast. However, the league stage ends on July 18, the same day Pakistan Champions are scheduled to face England. This means Imad may miss the team’s opening game but is expected to be available for the rest of the tournament.

Earlier this week, Pakistan Champions also announced former all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez as the team’s captain for the second season. The WCL features retired legends from six countries — Pakistan, India, Australia, England, South Africa, and the West Indies.

Pakistan had a strong showing in the first edition of the tournament, finishing as runners-up. They posted a target of 157 runs in the final but were defeated by India, who chased down the total in 19.1 overs to win by five wickets.

Confirmed Pakistan Champions players for WCL Season 2:

Mohammad Hafeez (captain), Imad Wasim, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Sharjeel Khan, Wahab Riaz, Asif Ali, Kamran Akmal, Aamer Yamin, Sohail Khan, and Sohail Tanvir.
