The Pakistan Super League has taken another step toward expansion as the first qualified bidder for its two new teams has been officially confirmed. According to details released ahead of the upcoming auction, Inverex Solar Energy has secured the top position among the ten entities approved to participate in the PSL teams bidding process.

League officials confirmed that Inverex Solar Energy has been recognized as Qualified Bidder Number One, marking an important milestone in the run-up to the auction. Being placed first on the qualified bidders list reflects the company’s preparedness, financial standing, and long-term strategic planning for franchise ownership within the league.

Representatives close to the process said the development highlights Inverex’s confidence in the PSL model and its future growth. Company officials have described the qualification as a result of clear vision, commitment, and leadership, adding that the organization aims to play a meaningful role not only in sports but also in broader national development.

In a statement, Inverex Solar Energy’s chief executive officer Muhammad Zakir Ali said the company believes strongly in cricket and its fans. He added that their vision is centered on energizing Pakistan both on the field and beyond it, and reaffirmed the company’s readiness to contribute positively to the country’s progress.

The confirmation has generated interest ahead of the auction ceremony, where the ownership of two new PSL teams will be decided. The auction event is scheduled to take place on January 8 in Islamabad and is expected to attract attention from sports, business, and media circles.

With Inverex Solar Energy leading the list of qualified bidders, anticipation continues to build around who will ultimately secure ownership of the new franchises and how the league’s expansion will shape the next phase of the PSL.
