Baroda, Rajkot and Indore have been confirmed as the venues for India’s ODI series against New Zealand at the start of next year while Nagpur, Raipur, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam and Thiruvananthapuram will host the five T20Is. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the schedule during the Apex Council Meeting on Saturday (June 14).
New Zealand’s white-ball tour of India will kick off on January 11, 2026 with Baroda hosting the first ODI, followed by the next two matches on January 14 and 18 in Rajkot and Indore respectively. The five T20Is will be played on January 21, 23, 25, 28 and 31 respectively.

BCCI forms panel after RCB victory parade stampede
Meanwhile, in the wake of the stampede that happened in Bengaluru after Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL 2025 victory, the Apex Council decided to set up a committee to draft comprehensive guidelines to help prevent similar events in the future.
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia will chair the committee which also includes Prabhtej Singh Bhatia and Rajeev Shukla. The committee is expected to formulate the guidelines within 15 days.
