The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced an unchanged squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan, set to begin on July 20 in Dhaka.

The selectors have decided to retain the same squad that recently secured a 2-1 series win over Sri Lanka in Colombo. Bangladesh lifted the trophy on July 16 after winning the final match of the series.

Explaining the decision, BCB’s Chairman of Cricket Operations, Najmul Abedeen Fahim, said the focus is on consistency ahead of the T20 World Cup.

“It’s a different matter if changes are necessary, but till the World Cup, we want consistency and to avoid unnecessary experimentation. It’s important to have stability in the squad,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan team, led by all-rounder Salman Ali Agha, arrived in Dhaka on July 16. The squad includes fresh faces, with fast bowlers Ahmed Daniyal and Salman Mirza expected to make their international debuts.

Pakistan will be without a few key players. Shadab Khan is recovering from shoulder surgery he recently underwent in the UK, while Haris Rauf has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury picked up during the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) in the USA. Hasan Ali is also unavailable as he is currently playing for the Birmingham Bears in the Vitality Blast.

The three T20Is will be played on July 20, 22, and 24 at the Shere-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. All matches will begin at 6 PM local time.

The last time both teams faced each other was in May 2025, when Pakistan won the home series 3-0.

Bangladesh squad for T20I series against Pakistan:

Litton Das (captain), Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Mohammad Naim Sheikh, Towhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali Anik, Shamim Hossain Patwari, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Rishad Hossain, Shak Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mohammad Saifuddin.
