Pakistan’s left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir, playing for Trinbago Knight Riders, achieved a historic milestone by claiming his 400th wicket in T20 cricket during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025 clash against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Wednesday.

Amir reached the landmark when he dismissed Fabian Allen, becoming only the second Pakistani bowler to bag 400 wickets in the shortest format. He achieved the feat in his 343rd T20 match and is now ranked ninth on the all-time list of T20 wicket-takers.

The record for most T20 wickets by a Pakistani still belongs to Wahab Riaz, who has 413 wickets in 348 matches at an economy of 7.54, including three five-wicket hauls.

Most T20 wickets by Pakistan bowlers:

Wahab Riaz – 413 wickets (348 matches)
Mohammad Amir – 400* wickets (343 matches)
Sohail Tanvir – 389 wickets (388 matches)
Imad Wasim – 375 wickets (405 matches)
Shahid Afridi – 347 wickets (329 matches)

Meanwhile, in the match, Imad Wasim led from the front as Antigua and Barbuda Falcons defeated the Knight Riders by eight runs.

Batting first, the Falcons posted 167-6 in 20 overs, with Allen smashing a quick 45 off 20 balls and skipper Imad scoring 39 off 27. Wicketkeeper-batter Jewel Andrew added 22, while the rest of the order struggled.

For the Knight Riders, Usman Tariq (2/37) and Nathan Edward (2/56) took two wickets each, while Amir and Akeal Hosein picked up one apiece.

In reply, the Knight Riders managed 159-6, falling just short despite strong knocks from Colin Munro (44 off 18) and Kieron Pollard (43* off 28). Keacy Carty also contributed 35, but the rest of the batters collapsed under pressure.

For the Falcons, Obed McCoy starred with the ball, taking 4/39, while Rahkeem Cornwall and Shakib Al Hasan claimed one wicket each to seal the win.
