Opener Muneeba Ali was one of Pakistan’s star performers during the Qualifier event in April, with the talented left-hander hitting a pair of half-centuries on the way to amassing a total of 223 runs across the tournament at an average of 44.60.

That run of with the bat at the Qualifier saw Muneeba rise to a career-high rating on the current ICC Women’s ODI Batter Rankings and the 27-year-old is hoping to continue that rich vein of form in Ireland and at the World Cup later this year.

“Despite the difference in formats between the Irish tour and the World Cup, we are looking to focus on T20Is and work on 50-over format game alongside as well,” Muneeba said.

“We have identified where we were lacking in the Qualifiers tournament, and have tried to overcome that (during the training camp) and build upon the positives from that tournament.”

Pakistan squad to face Ireland: Fatima Sana (c), Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Muneeba Ali, Najiha Alvi, Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Sidra Amin, Tuba Hassan and Waheeda Akhtar

Series schedule:

6 Aug – First T20I at Clontarf Cricket Club, Dublin
8 Aug – Second T20I at Clontarf Cricket Club, Dublin
10 Aug – Third T20I at Clontarf Cricket Club, Dublin
