Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen to join Pakistan’s training camp ahead of Bangladesh T20I series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday announced that five additional players, including senior stars Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, have been called up to join the national white-ball training camp ahead of the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.

The camp will be held at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from July 9 to 15 and will feature players from the previously announced T20I squad, as well as the five newly added cricketers.

In addition to Babar, Rizwan, and Shaheen, Mohammad Wasim Jr and Naseem Shah have also been included for the camp.

“Members of Pakistan’s T20I squad will assemble in Karachi on Tuesday, while the additional players for the white-ball camp will also report the same day,” the PCB said in a press release.

The camp is part of Pakistan’s preparations for the upcoming T20I series, which is scheduled to be played in Dhaka from July 20 to 24. A press conference by T20I captain Salman Ali Agha is planned for the final day of the camp, on July 15.

Salman Ali Agha (c), Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan (wk), Saim Ayub, Salman Mirza, Sufiyan Muqeem

Additional players for training camp:

Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi

20 July – 1st T20I, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka (6:00 PM local time)
22 July – 2nd T20I, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka (6:00 PM local time)
24 July – 3rd T20I, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka (6:00 PM local time)
