Pakistan’s presence in the ICC Men’s Test rankings has taken a hit as several key players dropped places following the latest update released by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

No Pakistani batter is currently part of the top 10 Test batters list, with Saud Shakeel slipping to 11th, while Mohammad Rizwan has fallen to 19th. Former captain Babar Azam, who once held a top-five spot, remained at 22nd, while T20I skipper Salman Ali Agha is placed at 33rd. Meanwhile, Shan Masood improved slightly, moving up three places to occupy the 44th spot.

In the bowling department, left-arm spinner Nauman Ali dropped one place but managed to stay inside the top five, now ranked fifth with 806 rating points. Sajid Khan and pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi held their positions at 20th and 21st respectively, while Mohammad Abbas moved up one place to 26th. Naseem Shah also gained one spot, climbing to 34th, but mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed slipped to 48th with 409 points.

There were also changes in the Test all-rounders rankings, where Nauman Ali dropped to 18th, while Sajid Khan slipped three places and now sits at 31st. Aamer Jamal faced the biggest drop, sliding four spots to 41st.

The overall Test rankings update brought mixed results for players globally. India’s Rishabh Pant achieved a career-best rating of 801 after scoring twin centuries in the Headingley Test against England. Joe Root, despite moderate scores of 28 and an unbeaten 53, retained the top position in the batters’ list, while Harry Brook trailed closely in second place.

England’s Ben Duckett also reached a new career-high, retaining his eighth position following his second-innings knock of 149. Australia’s Travis Head moved into the top 10 after back-to-back half-centuries against the West Indies.

In the bowling charts, India’s Jasprit Bumrah remained the number one Test bowler. Australia’s Josh Hazlewood rose to fourth, while West Indies’ Jayden Seales climbed to ninth. Sri Lanka’s Prabath Jayasuriya also moved up one place to share 14th position after a five-wicket haul against Bangladesh.

Ravindra Jadeja continued to lead the Test all-rounders rankings, with South Africa’s Wiaan Mulder and Corbin Bosch making notable jumps following strong performances against Zimbabwe.
