Yashasvi Jaiswal will continue to represent Mumbai. The 23-year-old opener, who had earlier sought a No Objection Certificate (NOC) – presumably to move to Goa – has now withdrawn his request. The Mumbai Cricket Association approved his withdrawal on Monday (June 30).

“The Apex Council has approved the withdrawal of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) that had been earlier requested by Yashasvi Jaiswal to represent another state. He will continue to be available for Mumbai,” the MCA said in a statement.

Association president Ajinkya Naik added: “Yashasvi has always been a proud product of Mumbai cricket. We have accepted his withdrawal NOC application and he will be available for Mumbai in the forthcoming domestic season.”

Jaiswal, currently with the Indian team in England, last played for Mumbai in a Ranji game at the BKC ground in Mumbai last season. He has played 10 Ranji Trophy matches for Mumbai, scoring 863 runs at an average of 53.93, including four centuries. In List A cricket, he has amassed 1296 runs in 25 innings at an average of 58, with five centuries to his name. In T20s, he has scored 648 runs in 26 innings for Mumbai.

Meanwhile, the association said Arman Jaffer and Sidhant Adatrao have taken NOC from the association. Both will be the professionals for Pondicherry in the upcoming domestic season. A Cricket Association of Pondicherry has confirmed the development. They will be joined by former MP player Puneet Datey in the Southern team.

Differently-abled players panel

In another key decision, the MCA constituted a committee for the differently-abled players. “In a progressive step towards inclusivity and alignment with the MCA Constitution, the Council has decided to constitute a Differently-Abled Players Cricket Committee. These decisions underscore the MCA’s enduring commitment to tradition, inclusivity, and the growth of cricket at all levels,” the MCA said.
