Zimbabwe is set to host Sri Lanka for two ODIs and three T20Is starting August 29. All five games will be played at the Harare Sports Club in Harare.

“We are delighted to confirm Sri Lanka’s visit to Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a thrilling and competitive series,” said Givemore Makoni, the Managing Director of Zimbabwe Cricket.

The three T20Is will be of particular importance to Zimbabwe as it precedes the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final. The tournament, hosted by Zimbabwe starting September 19, is their chance to secure a spot for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2027.

“Matches between our two nations have always produced entertaining cricket and this tour comes at a crucial time for our team as we prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup qualifying campaign” Makoni added.

The series is part of a busy three-month period for Zimbabwe, which will also see them host South Africa and New Zealand for two-match Test series’, with a T20I tri-series featuring all three nations scheduled in between.
