The world has witnessed several emerging stars who have later featured in the national team set-up as well. Similarly, there are several uncapped players in this IPL 2025 season so far who have come under the spotlight with their fiery performances, providing a thrilling start to the season.
In the first 25 matches of IPL 2025, there have been many players who have caught the eye with their performances. Here’s a look at some of the rising stars who stole the limelight:
Priyansh Arya (PBKS): The 24-year-old Delhi-based domestic cricketer, who made his debut in March 2025 for Punjab Kings, smashed the fastest IPL century by an uncapped batter, and the second-fastest by an Indian, against CSK recently. His 42-ball 103-run knock made him only the eighth uncapped batter to reach the three-figure mark in the IPL. When he smashed a century in 39 balls, it also made him the joint-fourth-fastest centurion in IPL history.
Aniket Verma (SRH): The 23-year-old hard-hitting batter from Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a rising star for SRH after being picked up for his base price of Rs 30 lakh in the IPL auction. The right-handed batsman’s aggressive approach with the bat makes him stand out in IPL 2025. He made headlines when he smashed 74 runs off 41 balls against Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025.
Ashwani Kumar (MI): Mumbai Indians’ left-arm pacer had an unforgettable debut against the reigning IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders on March 31. The young uncapped bowler etched his name in history books by becoming the first Indian to take four wickets on debut, which included the dismissal of KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane on his very first delivery.
Digvesh Singh Rathi (LSG): The young leg-spinner, Rathi, was picked up by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 30 lakh in the auction. On his debut on March 24, he made heads turn with his stellar performance against Delhi Capitals by dismissing Delhi captain Axar Patel on his third delivery. He has since earned a reputation for his send-offs to players in IPL 2025 after getting their wicket. After five innings, he had claimed seven wickets.

Vignesh Puthur (MI): The Kerala 24-year-old was included in the Mumbai Indians side which makes him a true success story. Despite facing several challenges, Puthur made it to the IPL thanks to MI’s scouting unit. The young left-arm-spinner stole the show on his remarkable debut by destroying the middle order of MI’s biggest rival, CSK, in a game by taking three crucial wickets of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube and Deepak Hooda.
