Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are thrilled to welcome back Chris Lynn for the 2026 Vitality Blast.
The powerful, explosive opener who brings entertainment wherever he goes, will be available for the entirety of the tournament.
“I loved my time here previously and I’m looking forward to being back in front of that Wantage Road crowd.” Lynn said.
“The guys had a great tournament last year, so I want to help build on that and return to Finals Day.” He added.
Across his previous T20 stints with the Club in 2022 and 2023, the Australian was a fan favourite, striking 880 runs and three hundreds, including a T20 career-best of 113* against Worcestershire Rapids at Wantage Road.
Lynn, who has previously worked with Head Coach Darren Lehmann at the Brisbane Heat, was looking forward to working with his fellow countryman again.
“I’m very excited to be back working with Boof, we’ve had a lot of good conversations about this year, and I can’t wait to get over there.”
Head Coach Darren Lehmann was thrilled to secure the signing of Lynn.
“We all know the class that Lynny (Chris Lynn) will bring to the side, he’s had a lot of success here and we’re hoping for more of the same this summer.
“His power and ball striking is second to none and he has the ability to take control of games very quickly.”
The Steelbacks begin their T20 campaign on Friday 22nd May at home to Glamorgan.
