17-0India’s record in multi-nation T20 tournaments since the start of 2023, across 18 matches. The won the Asian Games in 2023 in China where the finals was a washout and they won on higher seeding. They became the first team to win a T20 World Cup staying unbeaten in the Caribbean and USA last year and had a spotless record in Asia Cup 2025, with one win coming via Super Over.

5-8 India’s win-loss record against Pakistan in finals across formats. The previous wins for India against Pakistan in finals came in the Benson & Hedges World Series in Melbourne in 1985, Independence Cup in Dhaka in 1998 (they won best of three finals 2-1) and the World T20 2007 in Johannesburg. This was India’s ninth Asia Cup title (seven in ODIs and two in T20Is), the most by any team, and their fourth in the last five editions.

81.25% India’s success rate against Pakistan in T20Is, inclusive of Super Over results. Among Full Member sides that have had at least 15 head-to-head contests, only two other match-ups have been more once sided – India vs Bangladesh and Pakistan against Zimbabwe.

Pakistan collapse like a pack of cards

33/9 Pakistan’s collapsed from 113/1 in the 13th over to their eventual total of 146. There have only been two other instances of a Full Member team collapsing after being 100+ for one wicket down, Sri Lanka being at the wrong end on both occasions. Pakistan’s batters outside their openers managed just 36 runs between them which happens to be their lowest aggregate in an all-out innings in T20Is, the previous lowest being 38 against Zimbabwe in Harare in 2021.
